Our Texas Civil & Water Services Business Unit is currently seeking a Water/ Waste Water Estimator with strong background in creating estimates in large W/WWT projects. McCarthy’s Texas Estimating Department is a group of professional estimators working on some of the most challenging projects in the state. We pride ourselves on delivering cost certainty to our client, and we are looking to add a talented estimator to our staff. The Estimator will assist Preconstruction/Construction staff with all aspects of W/WWT and Heavy Civil estimating, including quantity take-off, pricing and bidding of construction projects. The Water/ Waste Water Estimator will report directly to the Chief estimator and assist in the preparation of all W/ WWT estimates including takeoff of concrete, and communicating with team regarding all mechanical, electrical and plumbing estimates. This is an exciting, challenging role for which only the best builders are considered.

| Responsibilities: |
Experience and Responsibilities:
• Work in conjunction with Bid Team to prepare an accurate bid proposal. Specific focus on Heavy Civil projects, as well as, Water/ Waste Water.
• Good conceptual estimating capabilities
• Strong knowledge and relationships with the subcontracting community.
• Experience and knowledge of the manufacturing community.
• Perform quantity take-offs and pricing of estimates including mechanical, concrete, and building trades.
• Experience in estimates ranging from 15 Million and up.
• Assist with final assembly of estimate for presentation to Owner.
• Subcontractor solicitation during biding process.
• Aid field operations with change order pricing.
• Review of the project documents for value analysis suggestions.
• Preparation and pricing of value analysis suggestions.
• Coordinate mechanical scope of work with architectural, structural and electrical estimators.
• Prepare budget comparisons between current and previous estimates.
• Heavy concrete estimating experience is required

| Qualifications: |
Skills:
• Knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• General knowledge of HCSS and Agtek preferable
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in estimating for a large scale general contractor.
• Self-perform experience of concrete and mechanical is strongly desired.
• General knowledge of construction principles/processes
• Knowledge of mechanics of Water/ Waste Water plants.
• Knowledge of negotiated bids, hard bids and GMP processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
